Por las noches el gameplay del juego cambia centrándose en la exploración de diversos puntos de interés como iglesias, hospitales, casa (abandonadas o con gente dentro), supermercados, escuelas entre otros puntos de interés.
El juego funciona con un sistema de día y noche, durante el día deberás preocuparte de no morir de hambre o elegir cual de tus personajes no comerá el día de hoy, así como gestionar los pocos recursos que tendrás, esta fase tiene un enfoque en la estrategia, administración de recursos y con estilo de contrucción de bases.

It's refreshing to see a game that does the opposite of glorifying war and combat. It's a very bleak look at war from a civilian's perspective, and it does it beautifully in its own dark way. Make cages to catch rats for food, catch rain water and filter it, break into houses and raid their fridge, use alcohol to treat wounds, read books and smoke cigarettes to improve your mood, and overall, suffer. Drink, and your people will become drunk and hungover the next day, performing worse but helping them cope with their situation. Kill and rob and your people will become depressed and need to help each other cope with what they've done. You'll struggle to survive without hurting others. As a survival game, it's the best of its kind. Disturbing game about civilians trapped in a war-torn city.
